Catalytic Carbon is an advanced activated carbon media developed for removing hydrogen sulphide, chlorine, taste and odour from water supplies. It is particularly effective in treating borehole water affected by the distinctive rotten egg smell.
Using an air cushion within the filter vessel improves oxidation of hydrogen sulphide, allowing the media to achieve maximum filtration efficiency.
Even with regular backwashing, Catalytic Carbon is typically replaced every 12 months to maintain optimum water treatment performance.
